The village is located in the district of Chiba Prefecture. Although it is the only village in the district, it is the most populous in the county.
Moreover, it became the only village in Chiba Prefecture by the disappearance of AWA gun Yoshimura (present-Minamiboso Joso), Hasunuma-gun (present-city), Inba-gun Motono village and Inba Village (now and Inzai City) in the large merger of Heisei. It is located in the Kujukuri Plains in the Pacific side of Chiba Prefecture, facing the Kujukuri coast, and is situated in the south in the Kujukuri. The terrain is gradual and there are few bumps.
