The town is a town in the Chiba-Ken Nagao-gun.
Located in the center of Chiba Prefecture. In the hills dividing the Boso peninsula to the east and west, the plains are few and the terrain is fierce. There is no big river, and the reservoir to secure water is seen everywhere. In the town, there is the Polearm Dam and the city Tsu Lake which was born by this dam for the purpose of securing the water source of the Boso Peninsula. Lake Tsu is not a pool of water which blocked the river, but it is a lake to pool the water sent through the Boso Headrace Road which is pumped up from Tonegawa.
