Umi-Machi is a town in east-southeast of Fukuoka City, belonging to Kasuya County. Located in the northwest of Fukuoka Prefecture, about 15km east-southeast of Fukuoka City. One of the towns in the Fukuoka metropolitan area, the north and northwest plains of the town are developing as a bed town in Fukuoka City. The southern and eastern parts of the town are mountainous, especially the southern four Oji Mountains, which are popular for hiking trails. Moreover, three Koriyama in the eastern part of the town is a typical climbing course of Fukuoka Prefecture.
