Miyake-Machi is a town in Isojo-gun, Nara Prefecture. Area 4.07 sq km. Population 7,634 People (as of September 2008).
It is the narrowest municipality in the prefecture. It is the land of Miyake township in the ancient Yamato Kunishiro Shimogun, and it is WA to the state (Yamato). The Miyake Kofun group, which is seen as the tomb of the Civil WA House, is located on a fine high ground centered on the former Miyake village. There are many old name names around town such as Iwami and Tajima in Miyake-cho.
