Tenri City is a city located in Kita-Chubu, Nara Prefecture.
The name of the only religious group in Japan is the city, and it is known as a religious city in the center of the city, such as the concentration of Tenrikyo-related facilities. The name originates from Tenrikyo which was spread to the whole area at the start of the municipal system. It is the only example in which the name of the religious organization is used in the Japan city.
