The city of Higashi-Matsuyama is a city of about 90,000 people, located almost in the center of Saitama Prefecture.
Geographically, it is located almost in the center of Saitama Prefecture, and the regional divisions of the prefecture are situated at the northern end of the western region (or Kawagoe-Hiki area). As a traffic hub where many highways gather Matsuyama Castle (the current administrative district exists in Yoshimi Town in Hiki-gun, the town of Matsuyama Ruins is adjacent to the city), and it is the central city in the Hiki area which developed as a tent town of Matsuyama tent in the old days from Kamakura period.
