Gojome town is located in the central part of Akita Prefecture in Minami County, Akita Prefecture. It is 30 kilometers north of Akita City, mountainous area in the eastern part, and the city area and countryside are spread in the west.
Route 285 passes through the center, along the roadside is a town, a police station, and a high school. The expressway is Gojome hachirogata IC at the western end of the town.
Although OU Main Line passes the Okawa district, there is not a railway station in the town, and the Hachirogata station in Hachirogata town is the nearest station, and convenience is secured to some extent because the route bus is operated in cooperation with the railroad timetable.
