Aomori City is a city located in the central part of Aomori Prefecture. It belongs to the Tsugaru region and the East Blue region.
It is the capital city of prefecture, and it is designated as a core market. It is located in the center of Aomori Prefecture, the northernmost province of Honshu. In the Tsugaru region which points to the West half part of the prefecture, it is located in the northeast, and the town and the East Blue region of Higashitsugaru District County are composed.
Centering on the Aomori Plain, in the north, facing the Aomori Bay which is the Bay of Mutsu Bay, the mountains of the Hakkoda Mountain and the Higashi-Dake mountains which hit the northern end of the OU mountain range from the south to the east, and the city area is spread to the Bon Mountains and the Tsugaru Plains in the OU mountains in the Tsugaru Peninsula.
