Wakasa town is a town in the county on three sides in Fukui Prefecture. Located in the western part of Wakasa, west of Fukui Prefecture, part of the Ria coast of Wakasa Bay, the mountains in the southern border of Shiga Prefecture and the south are 800m class and relatively low mountains. It is a mountain which can climb by the sense of hiking on the route of Takashima Trail. The boundary with Mihama town is the three lakes of the Ramsar Wetland. It is one of the mackerel road which falls in OMI.
Watershed the Kurami pass, the Lotus River pours into the three-way five lakes, and the mountain stream in the vicinity of the Mizusaka pass joins the Toba River, and the plain is opened in those basins as the origin of Mitsubi mountains.
