Shirakawa-Cho is a town located in Kamo County, Gifu Prefecture. It is also known for producing the Tono Hinoki, Shirakawa tea and boribap stone.
In the same Gifu Prefecture, there is Shirakawa village of Ono-gun which is famous because there is a house of the Gassho-made house, but there is no direct involvement in the Hida district. Shirakawa-Cho is located in the southern part of Gifu Prefecture, just north of the former Mino and Hida countries.
At the boundary of the city of Nakatsugawa, Moriyama (altitude of Ojiro meters) is towering in the mountains between Higashi-Shirakawa village and Nakatsugawa City.
