Imari City is a city in the west of Saga Prefecture.
It is famous for the porcelain which had been piled up from Imari port before. Located in the western part of Saga Prefecture, about 50km west of Saga City, the Imari Bay, which flows from the Imari River and the Arita River, surrounds the east, south, and west sides of the eastern Matsuura Peninsula and the southeastern part of the North Matsuura Peninsula. It is in contact with Nagasaki Prefecture in the North Matsuura Peninsula area in western city limits. The eastern part is a low hilly area.
