Funabashi Village is a village in Shinkawa County, Toyama Prefecture. It is located along the east coast of the Changzhou Temple River in central Japan.
As of 2014, it is the municipality with the smallest area in Japan. The population growth rate is the highest in the prefecture because of the influence that the bed town in Toyama City is progressing. From 2000 to 2005, it was the largest in Japan. In addition, the percentage of early childhood population in 2005 is 22.7%, the highest in municipalities nationwide.
