Tome City is a city located in the northern part of Miyagi Prefecture and Iwate prefecture.
It was born in 2005 by the merger of 8 towns in Tome County and Tsuyama Town in Motoyoshi County in the so-called "great merger of Heisei". Located in the northern part of Miyagi prefecture, it is between Kurihara City and Motoyoshi County, bordering Iwate Prefecture. It is a city known as the famous Land of rice for a long time.
