Minakami Town is a town in Tone County, Gunma Prefecture.
Located at the northernmost end of Gunma prefecture, Prefecture has the widest area in the city, with many hot springs such as water hot springs and monkey-Kyo onsen. At the top of the Tone river, there is a trailhead of Mt. Tanigawa. A red Mountain stream pours in the southern part which opened to the Numata basin in the Tonegawa which flows in the valley where Omine and Mitsumine mountains are formed.
The source of Tonegawa is designated as a natural environment conservation area.
