Shimonita Town is a town in the southwestern part of Gunma Prefecture. From the northern part of the town to the western Nagano Prefecture, Myogi arafune Saku Kogen National Park spreads. In this quasi-national park, there are Myogi mountains and Arafune mountains known for the rock formations.
