Otsu Town is a town belonging to Kikuchi-gun in the northern part of Kumamoto Prefecture. The population is about 30,000 people.
In the 1960s, the population decreased temporarily, but the population grew as a bed town in Kumamoto City and as a corporate castle town of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Kumamoto. Located in the middle of Kumamoto City and Mt. Aso, it is about 19 km east of Kumamoto city and the eastern edge of Kumamoto City area. The eastern part of the town is the outer mountain of ASO.
Shirakawa is westward in the south.
