The Kita ward is one of the special wards of the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Former Musashi Country Toyoshima County (Kita-ku, Itabashi-ku). The north is separated from Arakawa and the Arakawa River in Saitama Prefecture, and Toda city, the east is in the Adachi ward between Arakawa and Sumida, and the West is in Itabashi Ward, and the south is in Bunkyo Ward and Toshima ward.
From the southern end of the city, Taito Ward is close to the area of 100m. The majority of Tabata and part of Nakazato are located inside the JR Yamanote Line. It is only in 23 wards that the area in the Yamanote line is shared while facing the border of the city.
